Newly constructed and completed in December 2004.

Just set back from a wide avenue, our apartment has a very special feature which can only be appreciated from the top of the building; a wonderful roof terrace which affords a breathtaking panoramic view over the rooftops of the village, to the harbour below and across the Mediterranean to the distant horizon.

This terrace, which covers the entire roof area of the building, is exclusively ours.

Indoors, the apartment has been decorated for a cool and restful ambience, using neutral colours, tiled floors and natural wood doors. The two twin bedrooms are airy and simply furnished. The open plan living-dining area gives you somewhere to relax at the end of a busy day's sightseeing, shopping or sunbathing, and if you cannot face the kitchen, the restaurants and cafés of Kalkan are just minutes away.

Property Details

Open plan living-dining room:- air-conditioned, three piece suite which converts to 1 double and two single beds, side tables, dresser,  flat panel television with DVD/CD player and Satellite TV receiver (receives BBC World, & Euronews). Selection of CDs and DVDs.  Bookcase with various books, local maps etc.

Fully fitted kitchen: - Marble work surfaces, 4-ring hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, water cooler and large range of fitted cupboards stocked with everything you need for 6 people including an electric juicer and hand blender.

Bedroom 1:- air-conditioned:- 2 movable single beds, wardrobe with drawers, bedside table, full length mirror, views to the mountains.

Fully tiled bathroom with shower, wash hand basin & WC.

Stairs to:- a stunning roof terrace with fantastic unobstructed panoramic views over the Taurus Mountains, the Harbour, the village itself and the Mediterranean. The terrace is perfect for sunbathing or enjoying the sunset.  There is a large dining table with 6 chairs, a patio table and 2 chairs, 4 sunbeds with cushions and two sun umbrellas. A large covered pergola provides a  shaded area for relaxing and dining as well as privacy.

A fabulous recent addition to the roof terrace is a brick built gas BBQ (added in August 2007).  Cooking here on a balmy summer’s evening makes a delightful alternative to eating out!

At the top of the stairs leading to the roof terrace there is a utility area with a washing machine, clothes drier, iron & ironing board.

If you let us know your flight details, we will arrange for a taxi to meet you when you arrive at the airport and take you to Kalkan.  The return fare from Dalaman is approximately 375 YTL for a mini bus for five or 300 YTL for  a taxi for 2 or 3 people.

We can also arrange for a ‘welcome pack’ to be in the apartment for your arrival, just let us know what you would like and then pay for what you’ve ordered when you settle up at the end of your stay.

The apartment is our second home and we only rent it out to friends.  This means that we leave the cupboards stocked with basic foods and household goods on the understanding that if anything is used up during a visit, it will be replaced.  This means that you shouldn’t need to buy things as soon as you arrive such as washing up liquid, washing powder, dishwasher tablets etc.

Each bedroom has an alarm clock and there are anti-mosquito plug-ins and UK adaptors in the apartment, as well as two hairdryers and a First Aid Kit.

There are three smoke detectors positioned around the apartment.

There is a selection of games, playing cards, a dart board with darts, two sets of flippers and snorkels with masks, and assorted ‘jellies’.  You will also find binoculars, a cool box and a cool bag and freezer blocks.

Also, there is an ever growing choice of books, CDs and DVDs.  PLEASE don’t take them home with you!!

There is a folder with recommendations of restaurants, details of local attractions and much more (please feel free to add your own comments!)

All bed linen, towels and drying up cloths are provided but please bring your own beach towels.

Note:- All air conditioning units can be set to "heat " in the winter or "cool" in the summer.
